Busch Gardens Tampa: What a Dive.

Tuesday May 31, 2005
As it launches into the record books, Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey is stealing a lot of the thunder from this season's other great new roller coasters. Among the thrill machines flying somewhat under the radar is SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa. North America's first diving coaster climbs 200 feet, momentarily hangs precariously at the top, and then dives 90 degrees (that's straight down folks). Other features include a second 90-degree dive, an Immelmann loop, an underground tunnel, and a big splash water finale. The new Florida coaster is getting rave reviews. See an animated video rendering of SheiKra.
