The Northwoods Comes to the South

It may have a northwoods' theme, but the first Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park resort on the east coast is in Virginia, near Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Colonial Williamsburg. Indoor water parks have been a huge hit in the Midwest, partly because they offer warm-weather fun during bone-chilling winters. The Great Wolf Williamsburg represents the first foray of a major indoor water park into a more temperate climate zone and may anticipate a trend if the weatherproof park proves successful in the vacation area.
