After 100 Years, Vegas Lets it Ride

Monday May 16, 2005
If what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, the sin-filled city must be fairly bursting with 100-years worth of questionable happenings. Las Vegas celebrated its centennial anniversary yesterday and will be marking the occasion with a series of events, including concerts and exhibits, through the end of the year. With all of the hoopla, this is a great time to head to Nevada and indulge your own sins. For park fans, Vegas is like a giant, ungated theme park for adults, filled with coasters, motion simulator attractions, elaborate shows, themed hotels--and even a monorail (when it's working). Check out my list of Las Vegas rides, including one of my top picks for best theme park attractions (even though it's not located at a theme park), Star Trek: The Experience (at the Las Vegas Hilton).
