It may seem a bit odd that Dolly Parton has one theme park named after her, but the concept is working so well, the diminutive celebrity revealed that there just might be a second Dollywood on the way. According to The Tennessean, in the midst of celebrating the opening of her Smoky Mountain park's 20th anniversary season, Parton said that a Nashville Dollywood is a possibility. Since Opryland closed a few years ago, there's been a theme park void in the Music City area. Parton, one of country's biggest stars, and her music-themed park would be a natural to fill the niche. Parton also announced that Dollywood is committed to pumping millions of dollars into new attractions at her original Pigeon Forge, Tennessee park over the next few years. In recent seasons, Dollywood opened a water park, added some world-class coasters, and introduced other attention-grabbing attractions. This season, the park debuted ten new kiddie rides in its State Fair area.
