Disney's Terror Translates Well Around the World

Monday January 24, 2005
A version of one of Walt Disney World's most popular rides, the Tower of Terror, recently opened at Disney's California Adventure, and another one is under construction at DisneySea, the second park at the Tokyo Disneyland Resort. Now comes word that the struggling Disney Studios park at the Disneyland Paris Resort will be getting its clone of the modern classic attraction in 2008. The new ride will be part of a $328-million (U.S.) package to bring new rides to both of the Paris parks, according to an Associated Press report. Other rides en route to Europe include a retooled Space Mountain Mission Two and a Buzz Lightyear ride (which will be similar to Florida's Toy Story-themed interactive attraction) for Disneyland, along with a scaled-down Toon Studios area at the Disney Studios.
