Take Six Flags New England for a Spin this Season

Monday January 10, 2005
Last year a bunch of parks added spinning coasters. The trend appears to be continuing this season as the Boston Herald reports that Six Flags New England has plans to add a spinning coaster in the spring. Variations on the classic Wild Mouse, spinning coasters freely pivot on an axis as they navigate hairpin turns and sudden drops. The combined weight and distribution of each car's passengers influence the random spinning. The Massachusetts park will also be adding a 146-foot Slingshot ride (which will be an upcharge attraction) and a new water slide to Hurricane Harbor.
