Baltimore and Atlantic City offer Passports to Ride

Tuesday May 18, 2004
Ride film attractions, popularized by Disney's Star Tours and Universal's Back to the Future, can offer flights of fancy outside theme park gates as well. Passport: Voyages of Discovery is a stand-alone theater at Baltimore's Inner Harbor that offers journeys through time and under the sea. Also known as motion simulator rides, the attractions' seats move in sync with the on-screen action to immerse guests into the story. Now featuring "TimeElevator America" and "Oceanrium," the theater plans to add to its library with presentations about Jerusalem and Rome. Passport theaters will open in Atlantic City in early June and Niagara Falls later this year.
