No Deal on Big Wheel

Monday May 3, 2004
The proposed 600-foot Ferris wheel dubbed the Voyager just can't seem to find a home. Once slated to take over the land now occupied by Wet 'n Wild Las Vegas, the Rio Hotel and Casino off of Vegas' Strip was next tagged to host the attraction. Now, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the Rio has scrapped its plans. Voyager's developers say that they are committed to building the world's largest observation wheel and have other possible sites in Sin City (which they have not revealed).
