Are Your Ready Kids?

Friday March 19, 2004
Apparently you ARE ready, and a bunch of theme parks have heard you, because SpongeBob SquarePants and his 3D motion simulator attraction will be debuting at four Six Flags theme parks this season. I don't quite get the behind-the-scenes corporate wrangling that allows crossovers like this, but SpongeBob is a Nickelodeon property, which is owned by Viacom, which also runs Paramount Parks. And the same SpongeBob attraction is at Paramount's Great America in California and other parks in the chain. To make matters even more confusing, Georgia's Wild Adventures, an independently owned park, will also debut the ride. And Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast at Universal Studios Florida features...you guessed it, SpongeBob, in a supporting role. Hey, I thought he lived in a pineapple under the sea, anyway.
What's New at Six Flags Parks this Season?
