Ribbit Redux

When Mr. Toad's Wild Ride closed down at the Magic Kingdom in Florida's Walt Disney World a couple of years back, lots of fans were upset. Through the magic of computer-generated 3-D animation, the ride lives on--sort of. The folks behind Virtual Toad are painstakingly reconstructing the beloved attraction, right down to snaking through the queue. At the Web site, you can see the work in progress, including still shots and brief video sequences. Other dedicated Disney theme park fans are developing their own CGI shrines to extinct attractions, and Virtual Toad has some links to their sites here.
