Wonder no More

Monday December 15, 2003
Body Wars is hoisting the white flag. Epcot's Wonders of Life Pavilion, which includes the motion simulator attraction, will only open during peak attendance seasons, according to the folks at Walt Disney World. The complex, which lost its MetLife sponsorship a while back, just isn't pulling in the numbers, the House of Mouse says. With its lurching movements, Body Wars can reduce even the most hardened thrill ride fanatic into a nauseous pile of goo. The Making of Me, about the, ahem, birds and the bees, is a semi-controversial film. And Cranium Command, which, in my opinion, is one of the funniest and engaging attractions in Epcot, is not funny and engaging enough to keep the turnstiles clicking, apparently. Like the Carousel of Progress and Timekeeper at the Magic Kingdom, the Wonders of Life Pavilion and its three attractions will remain closed except during the Christmas season, spring break, and other high-traffic periods.
