Old Park, New Coaster

Tivoli, the Danish theme park that was among Walt Disney's inspirations as he was developing Disneyland, is celebrating its 160th anniversary this season. Not content to rest on its considerable laurels, the Copenhagen themer will welcome an $11-million (U.S.) as-yet unnamed floorless roller coaster in 2004. The new-age steel behemoth from Bolliger & Mabillard will take its place among Tivoli's other rides, including its classic circa-1914 woodie.
