Coney Island Coaster still a Lightning Rod

According to an article in the New York Daily News, the owner of the defunct Thunderbolt roller coaster at Coney Island is pursuing a lawsuit against the city for demolishing the landmark in 2000 without cause. Built in 1925 and once a prominent part of Coney Island's coaster landscape, the ride attracted renewed attention when Woody Allen featured it in his film, "Annie Hall." And for the record, while Allen milked some laughs out of it, there really was a house under the Thunderbolt.
